Always Working to Get Better!!!

2023 - 24 school year was a pretty exciting time for Vikings Kicking Out Tobacco or VKOT! We completed over 30 prevention and community projects. A major highlight of our activities was the VKOT'S Bryan ISD Youth Symposium. This event brought over a 100 students from BISD's middle and high school to learn about the dangers of substances, such as nicotine, alcohol, and the deadly drug, Fentanyl. The information that they learned was to be taken back to their respective campuses and shared with the peers.

VKOT was also invited to present at the Say What Tobacco-Free Conference in Austin. This is where we were awarded the 2024 Top Prevention Youth Group in the State of Texas. We won this award in 2018, 2019, 2022, and now 2024. We will continue to fight against the use of tobacco and other harmful substances. We strive to help create the first tobacco-free generation!
